MBS Year in Review

Good old 2006 is pretty well finished and 2007 is nearly upon us. This transition seems like an ideal time to reflect upon the year that was. I don't know how to summarize 365 days and a similar number of widely varied posts. For my year end MBS retrospective, I chose instead to present twenty posts that I consider to be highlights. I hope you will enjoy reliving these moments.

  1. Bonnie's Definition of a Good Spanking - This list was equal parts advice, opinion, and fun!

  2. Account: Over the Couch - This was the story that really put MBS on the map. After it was picked up by SpankBoss at the Spanking Blog, my readership soared.

  3. Sunday Brunch: Number One - This wasn't our best Sunday brunch by any means, but it was the first. It began what is my favorite continuing feature. I simply love to read everyone's perspectives and to bring the community into my blog.

  4. Account: Baby's Got Back - A Valentine's Tale - It warms my heart to recall this bottom-warming evening.

  5. The Female Bottom: An Owner's Manual - As with #1 above, this post seeks to be both informational and humorous.

  6. The Moment of Truth - A journey inside the spankee's mind.

  7. Account: Rituals in Action - My dear husband, Randy, decided to explore spanking rituals.

  8. Account: Weekend of Wonder - This was an older story that first appeared in MBS during 2006. These are some wonderful memories.

  9. Spanking 101: Fantasy and Reality - Many readers have expressed their gratitude for my tutorial series. In this installment, we went beyond the simple how-to to explore the role of fantasy within a kinky relationship.

  10. Account: Paddled Cheerleader - No summary of 2006 at MBS would be complete without this classic. I got to be the naughty cheerleader!

  11. Account: Of Duct Tape and Step Stools - I have fond memories of this post. Not only does it capture an amazing night, but it was picked up by a number of prominent blogs thanks to Fleshbot.

  12. Account: Hindsight - Fun with smoke and mirrors!

  13. Account: The Saga of the White Shorts - I had no idea what I was getting into...

  14. Panty Drawer Inventory - For a certain segment of my readership, this is their favorite post ever. They want me to post a sequel where I model them.

  15. Top Ten: Why Spankings are Better than Prozac - I had to include a humorous top ten list and this was my favorite.

  16. Account: The Awakening - What a way to start the day!

  17. Welcome to Whaxton - This post is a parody of a recruiting pitch for a private college. Life at Whaxton, however, is a bit different.

  18. Love Our Lurkers Day - LOL was definitely one of the best moments of 2006 for me. The effort succeeded beyond anyone's wildest expectations. It was great to hear from so many friends, both old and new. We'll have to try it again sometime next year.

  19. Song Parody: Like a Brat over Piled Pillows - OK, so I slaughtered one of the greatest pop songs ever written. At least we had a lot of spanko fun doing it.

  20. Account: Just What I Needed - I can assure you that this spanking session was precisely that.

Of course, I've omitted the fiction, the games and puzzles, the op-ed posts, Keyword Chaos, Spankologues, silly stuff, sexy stuff, and much more. But if I included it all, this post would be, well, the blog. If you like these posts, I invite you to browse the archives. There you will find lots more features that appeal to spankos like us.

Now I just have to figure out what I want to write about in 2007. If you have any suggestions, I'm always listening.

In any case, thank you all for your ongoing support and encouragement. You truly make this endeavor worthwhile.

I would love to hear how you've done on the resolutions you posted last year. My beau suggested I follow yours, too, and is giving me quite the reckoning for not exactly following them all!
