Video: Secretary

Here's the scene once named the sexiest moment on film by a European survey.

I have my issues with this movie, but there's no denying that the spanking scene simply sizzles. I recognize that many of you have already seen this clip, but I think it's worth watching again!

Secretary = always worth watching!

I've been told I look a lot like Maggie Gyllenhaal, and in this scene I have to say I hope it's true!

One of my favourites, thank you, Bonnie!

I love this scene -- I just wish he had lifted her skirt to spank her. The writer knew their stuff -- the part afterward when she goes into the bathroom to look at her bottom is spot on! -- Erica

Oh. My. I'd only seen a shorter except, without any of the build-up or resolution. MUCH better this way. Thanks, Bonnie!

This is one of my favorite scenes of any movie. It's just delicious.

Bonnie, like you Cindy and I have several issues with this movie. Probably the same ones if we compared notes.

However, it is one of the 'better' mainstream D/s movies ever made, and certain scenes are just plain HOT, issues or not!

Hugs,
Dave

Thanks Bonnie

I haven't seen this film in its entirety but I do remember that scene very well. It has so many nuances that I enjoy, the looks on their faces unseen by each other and the small touch of the hands. Lovely.

The DVD has an option of watching the movie with just the director's voice-over. He said the spanking scene was actually the first time they made love.

We both found the movie a little too weird for our taste, although we enjoy Spader in Boston Legal (also a spanko show).

Hugs,
Hermione

I own this DVD although like you I wish the two lead characters were a
bit less dysfunctional.

Secretary has a great soundtrack too and you can get the two best
songs (Lizzie West's joyful Chariots Rise & Leonard Cohen's
drolly hilarious I'm your man) on
a CD single at Amazon for a couple
of dollars.

I love flirting with disclosure
by playing it in public.

This IS a delicious seen. I knew of the movie when it came out but never saw and had forgotten about it. I viewed this seen on another site, for the first time, last week and about melted.

The thought of roles reversed and myself bent over that desk with a dominate woman behind me detailing my transgressions......... Mmmmmm... please....

I love this scene in the movie. I liked the movie a lot. I really wish Hollywood would make more movies with spanking scenes. It is rare and hard to find ones like in the movie, Secretary.

Hi, Bonnie!
I liked this film only the second time that I saw It... but there are not so much films about spanking ant that is a "clasic movie"

For me, the loveliest moment is when they reach their peak and she crooks her little finger over his bg thumb.

I am puzzled by the reference to them being a dysfunctional couple. It seems obvious to me that what we see is a confused young woman meeting a lonely, but high functioning man. By the end of the male both loneliness and confusion have been dispelled. What more could we ask? Well, I like to think that they eventually matured into switches.

Oops! (it's that time of the morning!) My post should have read:

I watched this film twice and thought it was excellent, detailing the way in which the two characters developed from their initial unsatisfactory selves into a mutually satisfying couple.

There were so many things to recommend it, and probably the least of these was the actual spanking in this scene, although the little finger bit was wonderful.

In the very last frame of the film Maggie Gyllenhal looks straight into the camera lens, challenging us to criticise their lifestyle, turning our attention back onto ourselves.

It was, in my opinion a brilliant film.

Love, love, love Secretary.

It's funny, it's sweet, it's smart. And it has been hugely influential for women like myself who knew there was something they wanted and needed but just couldn't name.

And like Lee, being in a D/s (for us it's DD) has helped me to flourish as a woman, and stop hating myself.

Guess I'd need to see the whole movie in order to appreciate the spanking scene. I didn't find it at all moving, oddly enough, nor did Mr.D. Thanks for sharing it, though, Bonnie. I'd wondered what all the hoopla was about.
