Bonnie--Happy Valentine's Day to you!

I have mixed emotions on this day, as the love of my life passed away several years ago. It being Valentine's Day makes me miss her even more.

On the other hand, it also brings memories of the love we shared and the good times we had while together. Ultimately that's what I try to honor this day.

Hugs and spanks,
Dr. Ken

I must say I have mixed feelings about this day as well. Not because it's a bad day, but because of what it has become.

My girlfriend and me doesn't treat this day as any special day at all, simply because one should not need a special day to celebrate love, as it should be all and ever present.

However, I have the deepest respect and understanding for those that do celebrate it in one way or another, as things mean different things to different persons, I have no problem seeing that it is in fact an important day for many people.

I have no desire to ruin anyones day, so please do not feel offended by my comments, as they are simply an expression of feeling.

My problem is more with the commercial side of it, as stores and the merchant world finds new ways to earn money every year, it seems things are getting watered out.

But I guess that as long as we remember what it actually means, and that we consider what it means to us, then all is well and the true meaning of this day will still be with us in the comming years.

(now this is my first comment here, so hello to you all. I have been reading this blog for a month or two, but this was the first time I felt compelled to say something, so hello from Norway to you all)

Paul - Thank you! We had a wonderful evening.

Terpsichore - You too!

Jessica - That's splendid. Enjoy!

Erica - Aw, that's sweet. Big hugs!

Dr. Ken - Welcome to MBS! I'm delighted that you stopped in.

I can understand how you would have mixed feelings. All I can say is that I think you can be proud of those who celebrated the joy of spanking and being spanked on this day. We are proud to be spankos.

Hermione - Thank you, and all the same for you!

Dixie - Hi! With all the fun you've been having, it might be a good idea to spread it out a little. I loved your party updates.

I hope your V-Day celebration is every it as enjoyable.

Hans in Norway - Welcome to MBS. I'm glad you added your thoughts.

You make a valid point. It's a shame we dedicate only one day per year to love, and even then allow it to become commercialized. We shouldn't need a holiday to tell people we love them. It should be second nature.

Unfortunately for many people, it obviously isn't always second nature. If a holiday, even a commercial one, helps them to do the right things once a year, maybe that's a positive event.

For the rest of us, Valentine's Day serves as a reminder to invest a little extra time and effort in our relationships. If we can make it fun, we can make it last.

Bonnie--thanks for the greeting. It's certainly not the first time I've stopped by your wonderful blog, but it may be the first comment I've left.
And yes, I'm sure all the spankos did us proud on this day, romantic souls that we are.... :-)
