Song Parody: On All Fours ‘n’ Screamin’

This spanko song parody is respectfully dedicated to all fans of the Mamas and the Papas and lovers of their classic tune California Dreamin'

All my limbs are bound
And my legs a-splay
I’ve been on this bench
On a spanking day

I feel safe and warm
When I get whacked this way
On all fours ‘n’ screamin’
On such a spanking day

Up here on my perch
How we pass the day
I get weak in the knees
When he starts to flay

You know my husband likes the heat
He knows I’m gonna stay
On all fours ‘n’ screamin’
On such a spanking day

All my limbs are bound
And my legs a-splay
I’ve been on this bench
On a spanking day

If he is here with me
It’ll be OK
On all fours ‘n’ screamin’
On such a spanking day
On such a spanking day
On such a spanking day

I love that “safe and warm” works for both!

I love the original version of this and this version too. Pity that we cannot find someone to perform it.

I'll never hear one of my favourite songs without thinking of this parody. Well done, Bonnie!

Hugs,

Anon - I love when I can use the the original words or something close. When I can't do that, because I have my own story to tell, I try to match the beats and select words that sound like the original lyrics. So "leaves are brown" becomes "limbs are bound," and so forth.

Roz - Thank you. This was a fairly easy song to parody. Most of the lines have five beats and there is just one rhyme that runs all the way through.

Prefectdt - Alas, Michelle is the only one left. There is, however, there is a lovely cover version by Sia.

Erica - Me too. I grew up in a place that was gray all winter and wished I could live where the weather was always nice (at least that's what the brochure said!).

Hermione - Thank you! The other factor that made this an easy song for me was the memorable tune. It ran through my head the entire time. I didn't have to play the original once to get the sound right.

As a seeker of spanking parodies, I love this takeoff on one of the songs I often heard as a child as sung by Judith Durham.
