Catching Up

Hello, my friends. As a few of you noticed, I've been away from the blog for a while. Everything is fine. Thank you for caring! We were out of town for a week and then then I got busy with work and the house and my class. But I'm here now.

I recalled another childhood TV spanking memory. There was no spanking on screen or off, but the very mention was enough to capture my imagination. The show was Perry Mason. For those unfamiliar, Perry Mason was a fictional criminal defense attorney whose clients were constantly accused of murder. He always managed to prove their innocence in court. There was often a scene at the end where Perry explained how he figured out who the real murderer was.

In one particular episode, Perry and his team gathered back at the law office to recap the case. The exonerated defendent, an attractive 1960s blonde, was discussing other crimes that she actually did commit. "I deserve to be spanked," she observed. Perry told her that what she was facing was far worse than a spanking.

My creative girl-mind concocted an imaginary image of a judicial OTK spanking in a black and white courtroom. That's my kind of story.

Never had Perry Mason on our side of the pond. I have heard a lot about it, though. It must have been big in its time.

Great minds must think alike.the episode The Case of the mischievous Doll did have several spanking references and the epilogue had her standing next to Perry and in my spanko mind I did see him taking her over his knee and saying the line, but also this should be a start and then spanking her. There were several others that did have spanked females as a line and write them myself.one that did not have the threat or promise if you will was one where Della might have gotten spanked (The Case of the weary watchdog) I thought that it would have been a great one to not only have Della get a spanking, but the friend of Fellas that should have been spanked for getting Dell's to do what she did in the first place.glad you are back and hope you enjoyed your time off. Thanks again for you share.Have a Great day.

My folks watch every Perry Mason that aired. Unfortunately, I couldn't keep my mouth shut as a young child and I usually asked to go play somewhere else. I know I would have heard that if I'd been in the room.

I am aware of Perry Mason, but never watched. My ears would definitely have pricked up if I had seen that!

Prefectdt - Yes, PM was originally on the air in the late fifties through the mid-sixties. It was black and white, of course, so it might not be as attractive for modern audiences. But in its day, it attracted a strong following.

Jim - Yes, that sounds like the episode. I didn't know about Della. That would have been quite an event. Thank you for the information!

PK - The show was on in lots of households, but the plot twists and turns weren't that interesting for kids, at least most of time. I don't even remember much about the rest of the episode, but that exchange definitely left an impression.

Windy - Oh, yes. I've mentioned that Flintstones episode before. It was only a cartoon spanking, but undeniably a hard paddling. I replayed that sequence in my mind hundreds of times as I drifted off to sleep. That video is around on the internet if you search for it.

I like the fishing girl. She was just what I needed!

Roz - That dialog was unusual for the show, which I recall as being quite serious most of the time. But it got my youthful attention.

Hermione - You're most welcome!

Raymond Burr later starred in 'Ironside' in which he portrayed a disabled police detective in San Francisco. One episode revolved around a spoiled, rich teenage girl who had gotten involved with criminal elements. The criminals were arrested but the girl was let off with a warning. At the conclusion of the episode Ironside said
(in effect) - - "I think she will be having trouble sitting down for quite a while if her parents follow my recommendation for her
appropriate punishment".

Erica - Absolutely, especially when they are 40+ years old and emerge as memories from our own brains!

Anon - Had I known, I would have made more of an effort to watch that show! Thanks for sharing that memory!
