Ancient Spanko Riddle

How is a thunderstorm different from someone getting spanked?

One pours with rain while the other roars with pain

Oh, I love this, Bonnie! I'm going to HAVE TO think on it, play with the words, develop it further. May I borrow it?

Both are a force of nature,
full of sound and fury, signifying everything.
Being caught-up in it, one is left drenched,
both sopping wet and wrung out.
When it is all over,
there is such an unearthly silence and calm,
the pain can be hellacious, but the afterglow heavenly.
I find I need the storm's rejuvenation, the cleansing,
the purification, both the fearsome thunder,
like one hand clapping across my clenched cheeks,
and the sizzling flash of lightening burning my flesh.
But mostly the satisfying sigh that we both utter
when it's all over with, as my spanker kisses
the bottom he just kissed with hard discipline
but this time with soft lips and praise and caresses.

Lovely poem, genuinely, the only trouble is... That's how they're the same!

How about... When confronting a thunderstorm it's acceptable to use an open umbrella?

Jean Marie - Wow. Cool analogy. Thanks.

I should explain the surprising origin of this simple riddle. I read it as a kid in one of those Scholastic magazines that they passed out to students in school. Being the spanko I am, I locked away that memory and remembered it at random yesterday morning as I was showering.

What's interesting (at least to me) is that spanking was considered so mainstream and universal in the 1960s that it could be a source of humor in school materials.

TTL - In both cases, avoiding altogether is a good strategy.

Roz - Thank you!
