Wow. How can I get so far behind so quickly?
My mission was quite successful. Our daughter now has appropriate baby clothes, furnishings, equipment, and supplies. She also has a couple of nice maternity outfits to get her through the next few weeks. Those who guessed the baby is going to be a girl were correct, though I just found out this week. Everyone is in good spirits and (reasonably) ready for all that comes next.
Thanks again for your well wishes and encouragement. Those thoughts truly mean a lot to me.

Linda - Thank you! We're all very excited about the upcoming arrival of our next generation. Our daughter is understandably a bit overwhelmed, but she's strong and smart. I know she'll be all right.
I am delighted by the way our relationship has evolved. We no longer talk as simply mother and daughter. We now relate as women and as mothers. She recognizes that I've been many of the places she is about to go. Can you tell I'm thrilled?
Oh, well. It's back to spanko blogging for me. I'm preparing to write up the delicious reunion/Valentine's spanking Randy gave me last night!
It's so neat when kids realize their parents are good for more than just food and bed suppliers. The adult conversation between parent and child is nice. I wish your daughter a safe, uneventful finish. If she's half as good as her mom, I she'll be great. :)
